RepostExchange

I was Design Lead at the RepostExchange Music start up for almost two years. During that time I worked along the CEO & Product Owner, the CTO and a full stack engineer to help them understand their audience better while redesigning all core parts of their web and mobile app.

Role and Responsibilities

During my time with RepostExchange I conducted user research with music artists from around the world, I helped them establish their Design language (prior to me the web-app had no design input at all and users were reporting it as non-user friendly), I redesigned all from the core app areas including sign-up, navigation (tested multiple times with users and iterated), Purchasing credit plans and more.

Feedback Campaigns

One of the areas that I focused towards the end was to advice the on the redesign of another gamified part of the experience called ‘Feedback Campaigns’. Artists were ‘abusing’ the system to gain points or they were not engaging with it properly, they were not leaving constructive feedback.

We did extensive user research and saw that a more ‘guided’ experience on how to leave feedback would be easier and more appreciated by users.

Successes

One of our major achievements was revamping the app's navigation for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. This led to an improved NPS rating and a better understanding of the app's features. Additionally, I gave a fresh look to their marketing landing pages, making the brand more appealing to aspiring musicians looking to join our community.
